1 more dies of dengue in Khanna

Khanna, October 3, 2015: Dengue deaths are increasing day by day in Khanna as a youth died due to dengue sending shock wave in shopkeepers but the administration had failed to take proper steps to stop increasing dengue deaths. The deceased was identified as Gaurav(25) who was running a  shop on Karnail Singh road. 

As per information Gaurav was suffering from dengue from some days and was admitted in IV Hospital Khanna. He was rushed to Fortis Hospital Mohali two days ago when his platelets were reportedly less than ten thousand but he died last night. Today shopkeepers of Karnail Singh road kept shut their shops as a mark of respect to the deceased and demanded more steps to control dengue in Khanna. 

It is worth to say that more than a dozen persons had died due to dengue in Khanna although health department has put this figure at 7 and a number of persons are under treatment at various hospitals in and around Khanna including Ludhiana. A social activist Devinder Singh and Shashi Vardhan have demanded more effective steps to control dengue in Khanna by the administration.
