Ferozepur, December 30: The Depth Patrolling Party belonging to 116 Battalion apprehended an intoxicating person and recovered a pistol (.32 bore), seven live rounds and a magazine from him. As per information available, Ramandeep Singh, Sarpanch Village Akkuwala, Nishan Singh Sarpanch Village Bastiram along with the one Mandeep Singh son of Bohar Singh of Village Akkuwala approached at BOP Basti Ram Lal. They informed the BSF officials that the person apprehended by the BSF is Jagdish son of Khera Singh, resident of Village Akku Wala who wroks as a servant at Mandeep’s residence.
It was revealed that the accused Jagdish, who was heavily drunk, took away the pistol of Mandeep from his residence and reached at Village Attari and started roaming here and there while carrying weapon. The accused was later, nabbed by the patrolling BSF team
Om Parkash Commandant 116 Battalion of BSF said Apprehended person was immediately was brought at the nearest BOP Bastiram Lal. “During the preliminary interrogation, it was found that the accused was not capable to speak anything due to heavy intoxication.
Later the matter was reported to Arif Ke police station.
