10 Days NCC Combined Annual Training Camp concluded at DAV University
The 10-day day night Combined Annual Training Camp conducted under 2 Punjab NCC Battalion has concluded. 600 cadets have been trained in this camp.
Jalandhar, July 3, 2024: The 10-day day night Combined Annual Training Camp conducted under 2 Punjab NCC Battalion has concluded. 600 cadets have been trained in this camp.
During the training, the cadets were briefed on battle craft, field craft, drill, disassembly and assembly of weapons, study of maps, leadership and benefits of NCC.
Camp Commandant Colonel Vinod Joshi said in a press release that the cadets have been trained in military life during these ten days so that they can develop the qualities of discipline and hard work. He said that special lectures on topics like women empowerment and health care, fire safety and disaster management, POSCO Act, sexual harassment and cyber crime were conducted to hone the multi-talent of the cadets. Joshi further said that NCC is the largest uniformed organization in the world which creates responsible citizens in the society. In it, secular and nation building training is imparted. Cadets undergo 14 hours of military training each day during the summer.
In the camp 5 Associate NCC offices and 50 military officers continued to perform their duties day and night.
University Vice Chancellor Dr. Manoj Kumar, Associate NCC Officer Dr. Ahmed Hussain and other officials had a special contribution in making this camp a success.
Deepali Tiwari gave special information to the cadets about POSCO Act and sexual harassment. Punjab Police Cyber Crime Cell Inspector Chamkaur Singh gave information about fraud and evil effects through social media.
A six-day training was also given to the care taker officers of various organizations in the camp.
The camp was concluded with a cultural programme.
