10.19 kg heroin with ammunition recovered by BSF in Ferozepur sector
170.323 kg heroin has already been recovered by BSF in Punjab this year
Ferozepur: 10.19 kg heroin worth Rs. 50 crores in the international market has been recovered by the BSF in two separate seizures. As per information, 8.290 kg heroin worth Rs. 41.45 crores was recovered near BOP Bareke in this sector during a joint search operation carried out by sleuths belonging to CIA, Barnala and 136 Battalion of BSF. Sources said that following the inputs, the search operation was carried out following which the consignment was recovered from the fields situated across the fencing near border pillar number 192. Besides, 15 live rounds were also recovered.
BSF officials said that besides this seizure, 1.90 kg heroin worth Rs. 10 crores was also recovered by the sleuths belonging to 116 battalion of BSF near BOP Gajjal. He said besides heroin, 280 gram opium, 1 pistol (9mm), 1 magazine and 5 live rounds were also recovered.
Notably, 170.323 kg heroin has already been recovered by the BSF in Punjab this year.
