Chandigarh, April 22, 2015: The UGC–Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh initiated its 106th Orientation Course for Assistant Professors of Colleges and Universities, today.
As many as 47 faculty members have registered for the in-service training programme.
Director, UGC–HRDC, Prof Karamjeet Singh in his welcome address spoke to the teachers about prioritizing their life goals in order to lead an effective yet simple existence.
Director, Planning & Monitoring and UGC-HRDC, Punjabi University, Patiala Prof Balwinder Singh Tiwana motivated the teachers by invoking that the teachers have moral authority and they must exercise that authority. He asked them to indulge in teaching and research simultaneously.
Teachers were briefed about the month long programme and an ice breaking session was also held. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
