10th Governing Body Meeting of KMV
KMV lauded for implementing Educational Reforms and for acting as a Beacon-light for the other institutions during the 10th Governing Body Meeting
Jalandhar, September 24, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized its tenth Governing Body Meeting as to ensure excellence in education as a continued process.
The meeting was chaired by Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal and was graced by acclaimed luminaries. GNDU VC nominee, Dr. Suman Sharma (Principal, LSR College, New Delhi), Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee Dr. Sushma Chopra, Secretary, KMV Managing Committee Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee, Suresh Seth, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Balwinder Kaur (Principal, Government College of Education) Nominee DPI, Chandigarh and other internal members of Governing Body also graced the occasion.
The meeting commenced with the dynamic presentation by Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi about the progress and innovations made by KMV under different criteria like Curriculum development, Teaching learning and evaluation, Research consultancy and extension, Value added development programs for students in each semester, Special initiatives to develop entrepreneurial skills in students, Social outreach and environment initiatives, Student support and international endeavours including the outstanding job placements of students in US and Europe at high packages. She apprised that KMV’s curriculum and advanced training, credit system has enabled our students to get Research positions at Harvard University, US, Rutgers University, US and other International MNCs at high packages. She apprised the erudite academicians that new policies have been framed to deal with new courses, examination and researchinordertoacquireexcellence.Governing body members deeply appreciated the institution in implementing the reforms under NewEducation Policy. They specially commented that KMV is miles ahead in providing progressive education to its students and has successfully kept its strength with a blend of modernity and tradition. External members also lauded the innovation based education, skill development policy and international exchange programmes adopted by KMV and commented that KMV is being referred to as a role model by other institutions. Moreover, members also lauded the international placements done by KMV for the students through which students have been placed at multinational companies in USA & Europe at a very high pay packages.
The external members were very much appreciative of Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KMV for ceaselessly endeavoring to elevate the standard of higher education by introducing academic and educational reforms under autonomy. KMV has indeed entered into the league of top colleges of India by designing new courses and also upgrading all syllabi to meet international professional standards and to provide new age progressive education.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this meeting will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of education and research in KMV.
