120 attend talk on kidney at Patiala

Patiala, March 14, 2019: As many as 120 patients attended an awareness health talk on ‘Chronic Kidney Disease’ to mark World Kidney Day at Patiala Heart Institute here on Thursday. During talk, Dr. Udham Singh, Senior Nephrologist of Patiala Heart Institute spoke about the significance of dietary habits in maintaining kidney health along with tips and prevention measures to keep the kidneys healthy. He went on to highlight the impact of Hypertension and Diabetes on kidneys. The public was made aware about the importance of Organ Donation. He said that early diagnosis, prevention and delay of progression are sustainable options to reduce the cost and consequences of kidney disease for individuals.
