Jalandhar, August 21, 2015: As the graduates filled the room, the excitement was palpable and the spirit was strong. This cheerful and heartwarming scenario was witnessed at 5th Convocation of CT Institutions. As many as 1200 postgraduate and graduate of 2013 & 2014 passed out batches were awarded degrees organized in Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, CT Shahpur Campus on Friday. 
The chief guest on the occasion was S. Surjit Singh Rakhra, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Higher Education and languages. He delivered the Convocation Address.
In his address, S. Surjit Singh Rakhra shared the tale of his success and stressed on the introduction of new technology. “Sometimes, I envy the students studying here. In my young days, I never had such facilities but today you have unlimited access to the world of information especially looking at this Wonderful Campus and Gigantic Auditorium of CT Institutions,” he said.
S. Rakhra said, “Do not look back, look forward! Infinite enthusiasm, infinite daring and patience, then alone can great deed be achieved. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm and there is no substitute for hard work,” he added.
At the convocation, 680 under graduate and 520 Post graduate students of Pharmacy, Hospitality, Engineering and other streams were honoured. Out of them 175 merit position holders were also felicitated with the degrees and special awards.  One of the students, Simranjeet Singh of B. Tech (CIVIL) overcomes his physical disability from Polio in his left leg. On being awarded with his degree, "Positive thinking is important. Physical disability is no handicap," said an elated Simranjeet.
Shikha Parmar working as a System Engineer at IBM Bluemix, Gurgaon on a good package, she said, “It is a dream comes true. I am very happy and our institutions has always guided and motivated us to attain higher laurels in life.”
Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) said, “My experiences prompt me to say that today’s achievement may fade or even get forgotten. The applause and appreciation may become a distant memory. Your certificates and medals may gather dust on a shelf or displayed on the wall. But you always will be remembered for caring enough, for helping someone, for making someone feel special and appreciated for being the kind I have no doubt that you will get the very best in life.”
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) thanked the Chief Guest, Honorable S. Surjit Singh Rakhra, for accepting to grace this day with his presence. “A big 'Thank You' for providing encouragement to the pass out students of CT family. I must mention to my dear students that they should learn the sense of commitment and dedication in life which lead him to achieve enormous heights in his life,” he said.
It was a festive occasion which was marked with excitement, revelry and amusement. The passed out students inspired the studying students to work hard to win the goals of their life.
An Alumni Meet was also organized for the students. The talented students of the current batch of the university presented an entertaining cultural programme for the alumni and their family members. In turn, the alumni shared their corporate and entrepreneurship experience with the students and accorded them important tips on career. The former students also shared their individual experience of being at CT Group of Institutions and its impact on their career
