126th Birth Anniversary of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar celebrated

Chandigarh, May 3, 2017: A function was organised at Students’ Centre, Panjab University to celebrate 126th Birth Anniversary of Baba Sahib Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.
At this auspicious occasion, some books titled ‘Mera Jiwan Dhan via Jantak Lehar’, ‘Soch Nu Sijda 2’, ‘Je Baba Na Hunde’, ‘Baba Sahib Dr.Ambedkar de Vichar’, authored and complied by Shri Sohan Sehjal were released by Veteran Journalist and Senior Ambedkarite Shri K.C.Sulekh.
At the occasion, many Professors, Research Scholars, students from
different Departments of Panjab University were present. Among them were Prof.Emanual Nahar, Prof. Ronki Ram, Prof. Ajay Ranga, Prof. Rattan Singh, Prof. Yog Raj Angrish, Dr. Kamla, Dr. Virender Negi, Shri Fateh Jung Singh. The books primarily
focussed at the teaching and philosophy of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and one of the renowned Ambedkar Missionary Poet known as Lok Kavi Gurdas Ram Alam. His uncompleted autobiography was also brought in Punjabi by Shri Sohan Sehjal is among
the books released by Shri K.C. Sulekh. In his congratulatory remarks, he shared his experiences and feelings being among the close associate of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R.Ambedkar. He shared passionately moments of close interaction with Baba Sahib Dr.
B.R. Ambedkar and the thoughts about him by his Personal Secretary Shri Nanak Chand Rattu during his visits to Shri Sulekh’s at Chandigarh.
In the function, a vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare.
