15-20,000 students affected because of shifting of PTU Exam Centres: PUCA-PUTIA

Ludhiana, November 24, 2017: A meeting of Punjab Unaided Technical Institutions Association (PUTIA) and Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) under the joint leadership of President, PUTIA, Dr.J.S Dhaliwal and President, PUCA, Dr.Anshu Kataria was held today. The meeting was attended by the main office bearers of PUCA and PUTIA.

Both associations expressed their concern on the shifting of Examination centres by the IKGPTU, Jalandhar due to the nonpayment of Registration fees, Admission fees, Examination fees or other Student Related Funds (SRF) to the University.

Dr J.S Dhaliwal and Dr.Anshu Kataria while speaking said that due to this decision of University, around 15,000-20,000 students affiliated to the University have to travel 20-30 Kms extra to give their exams. Dense fog and security would be the main issue especially for the girl students

It is to be mentioned that over 1200 crore of the colleges under PMS is pending towards the Govt. The delegation of PUCA and PUTIA assured that the dues towards the University would be cleared as soon as Govt releases the funds to the colleges

Apart from others S. Gurfateh Singh (Adesh, Gharuan), S. Gurkirat Singh (Gulzar Group, Ludhiana), S. Gurpreet Singh (Universal Group, Lalru), Mr. Harinder Kanda (Quest Group, Jhanjeri), Mr. Sanjeev Chopra (HIMT Hoshiarpur) etc were also present in the meeting.
