1526 Meritorious Students Apply for 4th DST Inspire Internship Camp

Chandigarh, November 27, 2016: Panjab University (PU) would organize fully funded 4th DST Inspire Internship Camp for Class XI/XII Science students from November 29 – December 03, 2016. Program Coordinator, DST Inspire Internship Camp Dr Anurag Kuhad informed that a total number of 1526 applications from 162 schools of 6 states/UT like Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh & J&K applied for 500 seats. The selection is based on Class X marks (top 1% students of respective board). The PU Inspire Program committee decided to accommodate as many students as possible. Out of total 1526 students, 686+ meritorious students (387 girls & 299 boys) have been selected to attend and present their scientific caliber at 4th DST INSPIRE CAMP. For remaining waitlisted students, the PU Inspire Program committee decided to organise 5th DST Inspire Internship Camp in February 2017. The dates would be announced very soon. Out of total 686+ students, 524 (309 girls and 215 boys) students and 95 escort teachers are staying at Panjab University Hostels. Around 95 escort teachers would also participate along with meritorious students.
The camp would be inaugurated on November 29, 2016; 09 AM at Law Auditorium, PU, Chandigarh. List of selected students and other information related to camp have been uploaded on PU DST Inspire Internship Program Centre website http://inspire.puchd.ac.in/show-noticeboard.php
