15th Annual Inter College Academic and Cultural festival “Synergy 2016” begins


Jalandhar, February 28, 2016: Following the traditions of PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, 15th Annual Inter College Academic and Cultural festival “Synergy 2016” was started with great pomp and splendor, today. In this two day Mega event organized by students and staff of Commerce Department, around 231 students from 16 Colleges /Management Institutes participated in 14 events of first day which are related with Fine Arts, Literary and Sports viz Painting, Cartooning, Rangoli, Collage Making, Poster Making, Clay Modeling, Declamation, Slogan Writing, Kite Flying, Three Leg Race, Balloon Fighting, Tug of War, Matka Race and Spoon Race. Students had shown a new picture of India through their creations via fine arts events which covered the various issues of society like Child Labour, Swach Bharat Abhiyaan, Make in India, Incredible India, Terrorism etc. Slogan writing on Swachtha pledge was the main concentration of students
The Chief Guest of first day of Synergy 2016, Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar inaugurated the event with colourful balloons.
Judges of the literary events were Prof. Surinder Pal Mand, Prof. Manmeet & Prof. Geetanjali. Fine Arts events were Judges by Prof. Arunjit Kaur, Prof. Geetanjali Modgil and Prof. Amita Shahid Chhina. Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Head, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration thanked all the participants and wish them for their future endeavour. In thid occasion stage was conducted by Prof. Mansi Chopra, Prof. Sapna, Prof. Harmanpreet Kaur and students of Commerce Department. Result of the today’s events will be declared tomorrow. The events of second day will be Mimicry, Choreography and General Dance.
