Chandigarh, March 18, 2022: The members of the Chandigarh Golf Club are eagerly awaiting the elections, which will be held on March 20. Three presidential candidates, SPS Ghai (Nippy), Col HS Chahal and Major Ravinder Virk (Lalli) have promises to keep and different election manifestos that they hope to implement once they take over office from outgoing President, Ravibir Singh.
Nippy Ghai’s team is an experienced and mature team with domain knowledge in running of the club as well as the golf course.
Nippy has served as a past captain and honorary secretary of the club, two major positions that qualify him for the post of President.
Col Thandi has served as a Captain with sound knowledge regarding the running and maintenance of the course.
Sanjit Singh Bala and Shona Singh (Manco) excel in organisational skills for social events and catering.
Harpal Singh Malvai (Pali) with his technical construction background and special skills in manpower, human resources and procurement management will be an asset to any team. While Col Sardul has vast experience in tournaments and the development of golf, Manraj Singh Sohi is an entrepreneur with experience in manufacturing. Anil Gakhar, also an entrepreneur with strengths in design, marketing and retail and Harsh Kumar, a high ranking IFS officer leading Punjab in the conservation of ecology and forestry with years of experience in the environmental field will be of great help in the overall structure of course.
As past treasurer Col AD Singh has handled the finances of the club by the book as well as the Human Resources of the club with diligence. They are a competent cohesive team.
