2-day IKG-PTU zonal inter college football tournament kicks off at CT Group

Jalandhar, September 24, 2019: A 2-day IKG Punjab Technical University Zonal Inter-College Football tournament kicked off at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus. In this, ten different teams namely BCET Gurdaspur, IET Bhaddal, KCET Amritsar, IKG-PTUC Kapurthala, Doaba Rahon, CTIEMT Shahpur and DAVIET Jalandhar etc are participating. On the first day today, two teams namely BCET Gurdaspur played a match with IET Bhaddal and after a tough competition, IET Bhaddal won the match by 4 goals. The second match was being played between KCET Amritsar and IKG-PTUC Kapurthala and KCET Amritsar won the match with 3 goals. In this tournament, All India Football Federation cum Punjab Football Association JCT’s Major Ram remained Match Commissioner, Sandeep Kumar remained Center Referee and Amarjit Singh, Harpreet Singh and Anil Kumar remained Assistant Referees. Sports In-Charge Satpal informed that out of these ten teams, only four will qualify for inter zonals. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group congratulated the winning teams and wished luck to other teams for future.
