Chandigarh, January 17, 2024: The Central Placement Cell of Panjab University in collaboration with the Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a two day workshop on "Personality Development and Communication Skills".
The workshop was held on 15 and 16 January 2024, and moderated by Dr. Raj Kumar of the same department. The sessions were divided into two slots for each day for a cumulative duration of 2 hours from 2:30 - 4:30pm. The first two sessions were covered by the Resource Person Dr. Manvinder Kaur, who underlined the key aspects of personality development along with a comprehensive study of what entails effective communication. The session was made interactive with short tasks aimed at redirecting the students to self-assessment.
On the second day, Sahil Arora enthusiastically shared key points to remember while writing a Resume. Insightful information about the application process for freshers was simplified. The following speaker, Mr. Kunal Goel was well prepared with strategic tactics and content to guide the students through interviews, as well as group discussions. All speakers encouraged students to ask questions and allowed them to be more confident about themselves. The workshop was successful in inspiring the students to have a positive outlook towards the employment sector
