2 Poor Cancer patients treated through “Ek Jung Cancer ke Sang” Fund

Ludhiana, February 9, 2017: Fortis Hospital Ludhiana organised a Press Conference to announce the Continuity of ‘Ek Jung Cancer Ke Sang’. On this occasion, Mr.Vivan Singh Gill - Director, Fortis Hospital Ludhiana said “Fortis Hospital Ludhiana” in association with Helping Hands Club organised a charity show “Ek Jung Cancer Ke Sang” on 16th December 2016. Through the event we had collected 3.25 Lakhs rupees and the same was submitted to the account of Helping Hands Club NGO (Cancer Fund).

While speaking on the occasion, Dr. J. S Sekhon, Director Onco Sciences- Fortis Hospital Ludhiana, said, “We had already treated 2 cancer patients within a month”. Further he added, May, 2016 was worst time period for Priyanka a sixteen years old National Karate Campion as she came to know that she is suffering with cancer. She was last second in seven sisters. She went to many hospitals for treatment, but due to financial issues nobody was ready for her treatment. She lost all the hopes. Suddenly she read a news regarding “Ek Jung Cancer Ke Sang” Her coach (Guru) called Mr. Raman, President Helping Hands Club, NGO and she shared medical & financial problems with him. After verification of her financial status by Helping Hands Club, NGO, Mr. Raman talked to Dr. Sekhon regarding her condition.

Dr. Harish Matta said, other patients are also getting benefit through this fund. Concert for a cause ‘Ek Jung Cancer Ke Sang’ is not finished yet. It’s an ongoing process and many poor needy patients will get benefits in future also.

Dr. Parveen Kaur said; “Cancer patients are increasing day by day. Some of these patients, ongoing with cancer treatment die due to lack of finances. And we will try to help such patients as much as possible with this EK JUNG CANCER KE SANG. It’s a small try to help and save these types of needy patients.

Mr. Raman Goyal, President Helping Hands Club appeal to the generous people to join hands with Fortis Hospital Ludhiana and Helping Hands Club for this noble cause. It happen due to help we got from generous people who are always ready to help needy.

Sharing her experience Ms. Priyanka said now she is doing well. She is really grateful to Fortis Hospital Ludhiana and Helping Hands Club NGO for giving her new life.
