2024 to witness another round of elections

2024 to witness another round of elections

In democracy is a government “of the people, by the people and for the people”. in democracy elections are celebrated as a festival of democracy. In India assembly elections are due in four states of Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand in 2024. The people of these states will elect new assemblies and the most important election is of Wayanad Lok Sabha seat where the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi who had contested from Rai Bareli and Wayanad and won both the seats and as per the constitution of India he had to resign from one seat and he has resigned from Wayanad and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadera is contesting byelection.

In politics nothing can be predicted who will win or lose as the Indian voters are the best judge to vote for those who can keep their rights and interests intact and safe. There is a multi dollar question that will the assembly election results reflect on the national politics also, it is not easy to say that which party wins in the assembly elections. The cadre of the political parties have started their spade work among the masses. In the game of politics circumstances changes with new alliances. Which regional political party can go with which national alliance cannot be predicted at the moment. The major contest will be between NDA and INDIA Bloc. It is expected that the regional political parties can have seat adjustment with either NDA or INDIA Bloc. Winnability have always been the priority of the political parties and the agenda behind the scene is towards power politics. A fresh era of announcing new freebies cannot be ruled out in coming days.

AAP has announced of contesting alone in Haryana Assembly Elections and even they have announced five guarantees for the Haryana assembly elections. In Haryana, it is yet not clear that which regional political party can have an alliance with NDA or INDIA Bloc.  Similar is the situation seen in other states where elections are to be held. In Punjab, all the eyes are now on Punjab assembly by-elections and Municipal Corporation and Municipal Committees elections to be announced within a short span.
