20th All India Vice Chancellor’s Cricket Cup T20 Tournament-2024 begins 

Chandigarh October 15, 2024: The 20th All India Vice Chancellor’s Cricket Cup T20 Tournament-2024 started at Panjab University, Chandigarh today.
 
The prestigious Cricket T20 Tournament was inaugurated by PU Registrar, Prof. Y.P. Verma in presence of PU Director, Physical Education & Sports, Prof. Dalwinder Singh;  Dy. Director, Physical Education & Sports, Dr. Rakesh Malik; Dr.Archana Chouhan & members of non-teaching staff association and organising committee.

During the seven days of the event, 20 universities from different parts of the country would participate in 48 Matches to be played in league and knock-out manner at 4 venues of Chandigarh i.e. Sports Ground, Panjab University; Law Ground, Panjab University; DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh & Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, Chandigarh.

Prof. Y.P. Verma, himself a cricket enthusiast, got nostalgic at the event and recalled his days as a cricketer while studying. He emphasised that the event presents an opportunity for the participants to get to know about other cultures and is also an excellent opportunity to develop camaraderie amongst the colleagues.
