Surtaal Sabhyachark Sath, known for its steadfast promotion of folk dances, successfully concluded its annual Bhangra Learning Camp at CT Group, Shahpur Campus. The seven-day training camp culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony at the prestigious Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium.

Jalandhar, June 13, 2024: Surtaal Sabhyachark Sath, known for its steadfast promotion of folk dances, successfully concluded its annual Bhangra Learning Camp at CT Group, Shahpur Campus. The seven-day training camp culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony at the prestigious Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium.

Ravi Inder Kaur Sandhu, Additional District and Sessions Judge, graced the occasion as the chief guest. She praised the dedication and talent showcased by the participants, remarking, "Events like these play a crucial role in preserving and celebrating our rich cultural heritage."

Over 200 participants, aged 7 to 50, immersed themselves in learning Bhangra at the camp. Ten teams competed impressively under judges Navdeep Kaur, Palveer Kaur, Maninder Singh, and Karamjit Singh. Folk singers Raj Sohal and Gurpreet Oshawa enriched the evening with musical performances. Neetiraj Shergill very aptly played the role of overall coordinator of the training camp.

Special guests like social media sensations Amarinder Sandhu and Jujhar Sandhu showcased unique interpretations. International drummer Master Janak Rajji was honored for his contributions with a lifetime achievement award. RJ Vikas Mongia ensured a seamless event as stage secretary. Also attending was the Vice Chairman of CT Group, Harpreet Singh; the Director of Dept of Student Welfare, CT Univeristy, Davinder Singh, and the Dean of Student Welfare, CT Group,  Dr. Arjan Singh.
