23-year-old girl gang raped in moving car

Ludhiana, March 8, 2015: A case of abduction and gang rape has been registered against the three unidentified persons in connection with the horrific and tragic incident occurred late last evening. In this incident, a 23-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped in a moving car after she was abducted by the unidentified youths from the local posh locality namely Raj Guru Nagar. 

The accused was dropped near to her locality after occurrence of the incident.

The gang rape victim was working at a local prominent hotel.

Police are thoroughly investigating the case.

Meanwhile, the authorities of the hotel concerned have issued a press statement, stating, “We are deeply saddened and hurt with the untoward incident that has occurred with one of our women employee’s early this morning while she was walking back to her home from her friend’s place. The aggrieved employee had finished her shift and had left work at 6 p.m. on 07 March, 2015. The untoward and sad incident took place with her when she was returning home after meeting her friend. We rushed to the spot when we got to know about the incident and informed the police accordingly. We then rushed her to the Civil Hospital for required medical aid and moral support which is much required at such times. As an organisation we stand by our employee in this extremely trying time. We will take every feasible step to see that she gets justice and are working with both the police and the administration in this regard. As a responsible organisation we will ensure secrecy of the aggrieved party. Also we have always ensured full safety and security of our women employees and shall do so in the future also”.
