280000 litres more effluent to be treated at common effluent treatment plant

Ludhiana, November 7, 2019: Sixth meeting of Board of Management for Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society (LETS) held under the chairmanship of Shri Narinder Bhamra CEO along with S.Gurmeet Singh Kular Secretary LETS; at Jaimal Road, Janta Nagar, Ludhiana.

The under noted points were discussed:

1. 44 New Members of LETS approved

The 44 New Members have been approved by the board of management of LETS as various applications for the Membership of Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society has been received recently.

2. 280000 Liter More Effluent to be treated at CETP

280000 Liters More Effluent to be treated at the Common Effluent Treatment Plant, per month. S. Gurmeet Singh Kular Secretary LETS, said that they the team will work to reduce the charges for effluent treatment and will make more industry join with LETS, and get their effluent treated, as this directly helps in reducing the level of water pollution.

3. Billet Induction Heaters:

Industry has been encouraged to use latest clean and pollution free technology by installing the billet heaters, and 10% of their respective load is allowed for connections up to 100 KVA, for exemption from Power Intensive Load, we are thankful to PSPCL, PSERC & The Government of Punjab

4. Plantation Drive

Keeping the Environmental considerations under notice the Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society will organize another plantation drive in Focal Point Phase VIII, near the Effluent Treatment Plant in Ludhiana. Around 2000 Trees will be planted.

On the occasion S. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva & S. Rajinder Singh Sarhali honored on being Elected as General Secretary and Propaganda Secretary of UCPMA respectively
