2nd day of Asia’s largest green film festival and forum in New Delhi

New Delhi, November 28, 2019: The 2nd day of four-day long 10th CMS Vatavaran Film festival and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) Short Film Competition and Festival on Environment is going on. SCREENING OF SHORT FILMS ON POLLUTION The shortlisted films on Pollution of the MoEF&CC-2019 Short Film Competition and Festival on Environment has been screened at the festival. Today under the category of MOEFCC 2019 short film competition and festival on pollution the following films has been screened, Water Pollution, Oxygen Mask, Swachh Vindhyanchal, Parivartan. SCREENING OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FILMS 19 films has been screened under the Nominated films of National and International film category, some of them are Moti Bagh, Naisargi, On the Roof, Shark water extinction. Students from various schools came to witness the films on pollution and environment. A master class on Green Filmmaking by “National Science Film Award” winner director Anoop Khajuria was taken. He talked about how climate change create natural disaster in the environment. Also he has explained about the hindrance and inconvenience that he faced during the filmmaking. At Himalayan Summit the delegates from all the 12 states/UT in the Indian Himalayan region and other stakeholders came to share their experiences, learning, takeaways about the concept, process and impact of climate change adaptation related activities under NMSHE and IHCAP collaboration at the ground level. There has been discussion about the initiatives taken by the state government on spring-shed management and the steps being taken by the state government to increase awareness through media under NMSHE. Range of discussions, seminars, workshops, interactions are also being organized to churn innovative ideas, paving a path for new talents and creative minds in the stream of film making with a sense of responsibility towards the Environment. The festival is being organized, exclusively on Environment and Wildlife along with the 10th Competitive edition of CMS vatavaran.
