2nd Phase of holding elections to Punjabi Sahit Akademi on April 15, 2018, completed

Ludhiana, April 7, 2018: The second phase of holding elections to Punjabi Sahit Akademi on April 15, 2018, has been completed. The following candidates are in the fray for different posts after withdrawal of papers:

For the post of president Professor Ravinder Bhattal and Dr.Tejwant Singh Gill, senior vice president Dr.Gurcharan Kaur Kochhar and Mr.Surinder Kailay, and for the post of general secretary Dr Surjit Singh and Smt Bhupinder Kaur are in the fray.

For the post of five vice presidential positions Dr.Sarup Singh Alag, Dr.Harvinder Singh (out of Punjab and Chandigarh), Mr.Sahajpreet Singh Mangat, Dr.Bhagwant Singh, Mr.Bhupinder, Mr.Khushwant Bargari, S.Bhupinder Singh Sandhu, Dr.Gulzar Singh Pandher, Mrs.Manjit Kaur Ambalavi (out of Punjab and Chandigarh) are in the fray.

For the fourteen members of the Board of Management, Mrs. Davinder Preet Kaur, Dr. Kanwar Jasminder Pal Singh, Mr. Sukhdarshan Garg, S. Manjinder Singh Dhanoa, S. Gulzar Singh Shaunki, Mr. Trilochan Lochi, S. Darshan Singh Guru, Mr Siri Ram Arsh, Mr. Jasvir Jhaj, Mrs. Amarjeet Kaur Hirday, Dr. Sharanjit Kaur, Smt Harleen Kaur, Mr Bhagwant Rasulpuri, Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal, Mr. Tarsem, Mr. Rajinder Shaunki, Mr. Kamaljit Neelon, Dr. Sudarshan Gaso (Haryana), Dr.Gurmail Singh, Mrs. Surinder Nir (Jammu) and Dr. Jagvinder Jodha are in the field. Mr Prem Sahil (the rest of India) is the only candidate. According to the constitution, he is declared elected.

Giving the above information, the Chief Electoral Officer Malkiat Singh Aulakh said that these elections would be held on April 15, 2018 at Punjabi Bhawan, Ludhiana. Polls will be held from 9 am to 3 pm.

Chief Election Officer Malkiat Singh Aulakh, Assistant Electoral Officer Haqiqat Singh Mangat, S.Balwant Singh, Prof. Kulwant Singh, Mr. Ashok Kumar Dwivedi and Dr. Kulwinder Kaur Minhas have appealed to members to to participate in maximum and support in these elections.
