2nd Shadi Ram Nand Lal Memorial Declamation Competition 2024 Held in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, July 28, 2024: The Lions Club Ferozepur Border organized the 2nd Shadi Ram Nand Lal Memorial Declamation Competition at Hotel Aamantran. The competition featured students from Class 8th to 12th, who eloquently spoke on five current and pressing topics.

Lion Deepak Gupta, President of the Lions Club, commented on the event, saying, “A total of 42 students from various schools, including Shanti Vidya Mandir, Jogindera Convent School, Arun Jyoti Model School, DC Model School, Das & Brown School, Sant Joseph Convent School, Vivekananda World School, Delhi Public School, Doon Junior School, and Government Girls School, participated in the event. They shared their insights on important topics such as the Importance of AI in Education and Advancement of AI, the Various Effects of Cybercrime, the Role of Social Media in Communication and Social Interaction, the Rise of E-Commerce, and whether Sex Education should be provided in schools."

The event was judged by Prof. C.L. Arora and social activist Harish Monga. After careful consideration of the presentations, Sachin Kumar from DC Model International School on Cybercrime, was awarded first place, Nisha Sharma from Shanti Vidya Mandir on Role of Social Media was the second runner-up, and Tarinderpal Singh from Vivekananda World School on Importance of Artificial Intelligence(AI) was the third runner-up. Additionally, Jasmin Kaur from Jogindera Convent School on Social Media and Shivani Sharma on Sex Education from Delhi Public School received consolation prizes.

Prof. Arora, while sharing his life experiences in the field of education, congratulated the organizers for providing a platform that allows young students to showcase their public speaking skills and express their views on current, critical issues. He emphasized the importance of such events in enhancing students' presentation abilities and confidence.  Harish Monga shared motivational tips with the participants, encouraging them to maintain a positive mindset and strong determination to achieve success in life.

All the students were given a Participation Certificate along with a token of gift while the winners were also felicitated with Memento and Cash Prizes by Lion Ravinder Saggar, District Governor 321, who also joined the event as Chief Guest.
