Jagraon (Ludhiana), March 28, 2022: Under the able guidance of Dr. Ketan Patil Baliram, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural) and Rajwinder Singh, DSP Sub-Division Raikot, under the supervision of Insp. Abhinav Chauhan, SHO PS Sadar Raikot, ASI Gulab Singh along with the police party on March 27 was informed that Harinderjit Singh r/o vill. Andlu have planted poppy husk plants in the backyard of his house.
Police party raided the spot where Gurpreet Singh r/o vill. Andlu alongwith Munish Kumar alias Nikku r/o Bhawanipur PS Bhawanipur District Purnia, Bihar now residing in the house of Harinderjit Singh were cutting green poppy plants in the backyard of Harinderjit Singh’s house. They were apprehended at the spot and FIR 26 dated 27.03.2022 U/S 15,16-61-85 NDPS Act was registered at PS Sadar Raikot.
The three accused were arrested and a total of 1200 green plants (70 kg) were recovered from the accused.
