35th Sjoba Rally concludes
Rallyist from Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali performed well
Chandigarh, March 7, 2022: Rallyist from Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali performed well at the recently concluded (Sunday evening) SJOBA (St John's Old Boys Association) Rally, the 35th edition of the event. Rallyist reached finish point St John's High School in the evening and later in the evening gathered for Prize distribution at Chandigarh Golf Range.
Winning the top honours in the 4 wheeler Category were Capt AVS Gill and his navigator, Virender Kashyap .Capt AVS Gill said rallying is his passion, away from the shimmer and bling at work.
"We were able to complete the rally with a cumulative timing way ahead of other competitors. What made our win special was that we were up against some of the best navigators of south India. Every competitive leg required different set of skills to finish, and we came up tops," he said. First Runner up were Harvinder Bhola and Chirag Thakur, while 2nd runner up were Sanja Razdan and Karan Aukta.
The winner's crown in the Moto category went to Shardul Sharma, a champion marathon rallyist whom few have been able to take on. Rallyist Yuva Kumar , who has won first runner up in Moto category and Suhail Ahmad ranked third in the Moto Category of SJOBA rally. The participants in the rally had driven up to Taj Retreat, ahead of Garh shankar for the event, and back to the city.
Team trophies were awarded to Harjee Rallying in 4WD and Hero Motorsports in Moto Categories. Fastest Moto in Ladies remained Mehak Dixit from New Delhi.
