36th Annual Conference of North Zone Orthopaedic Association begins

Ludhiana, February 11, 2017: The 36th Annual Conference of North Zone Orthopaedic Association (NZOACON-2017) was formally inaugurated today by Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot- Prof Raj Bahadur along with Guest of Honour- Dr R Bhalla, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana. Other dignitaries present on the inaugural ceremony were Secretary of DMCH Managing Society- Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dr NK Magu (President, NZOA),Dr Manoj Sobti (Member,Punjab Medical Council).

Organizing Chairman-Prof Dr Mohhamamd Yamin (Professor and Head of Orthopaedics) extended warm welcome to all the renowned guest speakers and participating delegates. In his address, Dr Yamin said the focus of the conference is to enlighten the knowledge of various participating delegates through various interactive sessions including panel discussions, debates and case discussions.

Organizing Secretary-Prof Dr Harpal Singh (Professor of Orthopaedics) said that the three-day conference include around seven workshops which were held yesterday in various seminar rooms for the participating delegates and several scientific sessions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr NK Magu (President, North Zone Orthopaedic Association) said that since its inception, North Zone Orthopaedic Association has done a lot encourage and enhance orthopaedic surgery in the northern region of India

This scientific sessions held today aimed to tackle current trends and topics as well as raise future surgical concepts and innovations in the field of Orthopaedics.

The conference brought together eminent faculties from across the globe to address all important aspects in joint replacement surgery, including knee and hip and other related areas. During the conference, the international faculty and eminent Indian faculty from different hospitals and medical colleges of the country shared their knowledge and expertise. Various topics pertaining to Knee Preservation, Shoulder Arthroscopy and Replacement were also covered and all delegates learnt about various surgical approaches and the solutions to clinical problems.
