36th Annual Conference of North Zone Orthopedic Association (NZOACON-2017) begins today

Ludhiana, February 10, 2017: The 36th Annual Conference of North Zone Orthopedic Association (NZOACON-2017) started today with organisation of seven pre-conference workshops. Eminent faculty from abroad and India including Dr Hans Kreder from Canada, Dr Shamlal Das De & Dr Gurpal Singh from Singapore, Dr Sergio Rowniski & Dr.Luiz work from Brazil, Dr Manoj Sikand and Dr S Kapoor from UK who were former alumnus of DMCH, trained young orthopaedic surgeons at this academic event.
Dr.Mohammad Yamin & Dr Shekhar Singal conducted the ‘Athroplasty Workshop’ with hand-on-practice on bone models of joint replacement. They informed that video presentation of cementation techniques updated the knowledge of delegates.
Dr Rajnish Garg along with Dr Deepak Jain conducted the ‘Arthroscopy Workshop’ and the delegates appreciated the demonstration of tying of surgical knots by the experts & minimal repair techniques along with live surgery.
Dr. Pankaj Mahindra stated that the bone model practice session, conducted in Trauma Workshop gathered lot of attention of the delegates.
Organizing Secretary- Dr. Harpal Singh Selhi further informed that other workshops held today included computer skills course, deformity correction course, Foot & Ankle & musculoskeletal oncology were appreciated by all the delegates to enhance their knowledge in the field of Orthopaedics. More than 200 delegates participated in various workshops held today, informed Dr Mohammad Yamin and Dr Harpal.
