38 More Aam Aadmi Clinics to be dedicated to people on Jan 26 in Ludhiana: Lal Chand Kataruchak
78790 Patients availed services of nine existing Aam Clinics till date
Ludhiana, December 15, 2022: In order to further strengthen the healthcare services to the people of the state at their doorsteps, Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that 38 new Aam Aadmi Clinics would be inaugurated in Ludhiana on January 26, 2023.
The existing primary health centers (urban and rural) will be upgraded as Aam Aadmi Clinics and tenders for civil and other works have already been floated by executive agencies. To ensure fast-paced completion, the administration has appointed separate agencies including PWD, Mandi Board, GLADA, PHSC, LIT, and others, and given deadlines.
In Ludhiana, seven clinics are being set up in the Dakha constituency, five in Atam Nagar and Gill, three clinics in Jagraon, Payal, Raikot, Khanna, two clinics in Ludhiana west, Ludhiana North, and Samrala and one such facility is coming up in Ludhiana South, Ludhiana East, and Sahnewal constituencies.
Accompanied by MLAs Sarvjit Kaur Manuke, Daljit Singh Grewal, Madan Lal Bagga, Ashok Parashar Pappi, Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, Hardeep Singh Mundian, Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Jeewan Singh Sangowal, and senior AAP leader Dr KNS Kang, the Cabinet Minister who also holds a portfolio of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, said that nearly 78790 people had so far availed the benefit of existing nine clinics since August 15 and 12145 medical tests were conducted there. He expressed satisfaction over on-going work and asked the officials to ensure the timely completion of other formalities of new clinics.
Meanwhile, the Minister also directed the officials of Food and Civil supplies to expedite the re-verification of smart ration cards and ensure transparent completion. He also warned them to ensure every eligible beneficiary must benefit from the foodgrain distribution scheme.
Lal Chand Kataruchak who is also in charge of Ludhiana district also reviewed the implementation of the Buddha Dariya Rejuvenation Project, Smart City Works, NHAI, Education schemes, Food Supply, and other welfare programs. He also lauded the district administration for making sincere efforts to reduce the cases of stubble burning cases this year. He said that it was a matter of great pride for Ludhiana that it had recorded a 55-percent decrease in stubble-burning cases.
Prominent among those present on occasion included Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik, MC Commissioner Dr. Shena Agarwal, CP Mandeep Singh Sidhu, SSPs Harjit Singh, Harish Dayama Om Prakash, ADCs Amit Kumar Panchal, Rahul Chaba, Amarjeet Bains, Anita Darshi, AAP District President Sharnpal Singh Makkar, and heads of different departments.
