3,872 candidates appeared for LL.B (3 Years) Entrance Test at Panjab University

Chandigarh, June 22, 2015: As many as 3,872 candidates appeared for the LL.B. (3 Years) Entrance Test at Panjab University (PU) here on Sunday.

The test was conducted by PU for the admission to LL.B Three Years Courses at the PU Campus, Chandigarh, PU Regional Centres of Muktsar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur.

PU Controller of Examination Prof Parvinder Singh informed that 86.14 percent students out of 4,495 applicants appeared at the entrance test. This year, 23 percent more students have applied for the LL.B entrance test as 3,667 applicants had applied for the entrance test in year 2014.

The students were competing for 202 seats each in morning and evening session in Department of Laws, PU Chandigarh; 58 seats in Regional Centre Muktsar; 72 seats in evening session in Regional Centre, Ludhiana and 60+3 seats UILS, PU Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Bajwara, Hoshiarpur.

The admissions for the LL.B would be based on PU-LL.B. (3 Years) 2015 Entrance Test and the marks in the Qualifying Examination. Qualifying Examination and PU-LL.B. (3 Years) 2015 Entrance Test would each carry 50 percent weightage. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
