38th AIU North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival going to start from February 01

The 38th AIU North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival is all set to kickstart at Panjab University, Chandigarh from February 1 to 5, 2025. This prestigious event being held, under the Chairmanship and Patronship of Honourable Vice-Chancellor Panjab University, Prof. Renu Vig being held at Panjab University, will be organised for the Second time after a leap of seven years.

Chandigarh, January 31, 2025: The 38th AIU North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival is all set to kickstart at Panjab University, Chandigarh from February 1 to 5. This prestigious event being held, under the Chairmanship and Patronship of Honourable Vice-Chancellor Panjab University, Prof. Renu Vig being held at Panjab University, will be organised for the Second time after a leap of seven years. 
 
The festival will start with a cultural procession in which all the Universities contingents will participate. This will start from Directorate of Sports at 1.30 pm and conclude at Law Auditorium for the inaugural ceremony at 4.00 pm. Chandigarh Administration Chief Secretary Sh. Rajiv Verma will be the Chief Guest while Additional Secretary of AIU Dr. Mamta Rani Aggarwal shall be the guest of honour. PU VC Prof. Renu Vig will preside over the inaugural function. 
More than 1,000 students from 22 universities spanning the regions of Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chandigarh are going to participate in this event. Students will showcase their talents across 27 events under the various categories of Theatre, Music, Fine Arts, Literary Arts, and Dance, promising a vibrant and diverse cultural extravaganza.
 
The festival aims to inspire students to excel in their chosen fields, while also encouraging holistic development through exposure to diverse artistic forms and perspectives. Additionally, it reinforces the importance of preserving cultural traditions while embracing modernity.
 
In her statement, Prof. Renu Vig, Vice- Chancellor, PU said that as Panjab University prepares to host this remarkable event for the second time in seven years, it is a proud moment for the institution and a testament to its commitment to nurturing excellence and inclusivity. The university is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the success of this mega event, promising a memorable experience for all participants and attendees.
