3rd CICU Export Promotion Committee meeting held to discuss issues & opportunities related to export

Ludhiana, April 13, 2019: A meeting was called to discuss issues related to exports like IGST refunds, VAT refunds, customs departments quick delivery of drawback, EDPMS RBI guidelines and Visit to International Exhibition. S. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU welcomed all the Committee Members and said that Export Promotion Committee is working to resolve the issues of exporters with DGFT, Ministry of External Affairs, Customs and shortly a meeting with top official of these departments will be held. He also said that the members should visit international exhibition to promote their goods. It will definitely help new exporters. He further mentioned that CICU will arrange group participation in International Fairs in future for promotion of Trade from Punjab and also take delegation to ITMA Barcelona, EMO Germany and Canton Fair China. Sh. Sarvjit Singh, Co- Convener of Export Promotion Committee while interacting with members said that most of the issues with regard to IGST REFUNDS have been sorted out except LCL SHIPMENTS and in case where exporters have rectified there returns in the FORM 9A. Customs department is working on it and shortly a solution will be found. He also highlighted the problems of delay by exporters in getting BRC’S released. (bank realisation certificates) and its importance in claiming various incentives. The importance and issues of EDPMS were also discussed in detail and it is decided to call RBI officials to appraise members regarding it. Quick release of duty drawback by customs under the guidance of Sh. A.S.Ranga was also appreciated. He also suggested that the exporters should ist verify then file GST RETURNS to avoid any delay in refunds. He also gave clarification to the various issues raised by the members.
