3rd GU Sports Meet (M/W) 2018 at GNA University

Jalandhar, March 9, 2018: The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at GNA University organized a 3rd GU Sports Meet (M/W) 2018 for two days. The commencement of the Sports Meet was done by gracious presence of the chief guest Dr VK Rattan, the Vice- Chancellor of GNA University with a sole objective for holistic development of the University.
In total 500 students from various faculties of the University participated in the sports meet. After the rigorous 2 day sports meet, the final results are reflected as follows:
Track Events: 100 mts (Men) I Position: Hemant from FET,

III Position: Kartik from FDI.
100 mts (Faculty Men) I Position: Mr Gurpreet Singh from FET,
II Position: Mr Sukhdeep Singh from FPES,
III Position: Kamaljeet Kainth from FDI.
100 mts(Women)- I Position: Kiranpreet Kaur from FPES,
II Position: Preety from FPES,
III Position: Paramjeet from GBS.
200 mts (Men) I Position: Hemant from FET,
II Position: Sarabjit from FPES,
III Position: Hardeep from FDI.
200 mts (Women)- I Position: Kiranpreet Kaur from FPES,
II Position: Preety from FPES,
III Position: Jaspreet from GBS.
The 3rd GU Sports Meet (M/W) 2018 for two days culminated with the Closing ceremony held in the august presence of the chief guest S. Gurdeep Singh, the Pro Chancellor GNA University who appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports for organizing the 3rd annual sports at a large scale for the upliftment of the youth in India.
Dr. Mohammad Salim Javed, Associate Prof-cum-Deputy Dean of Physical Education and Sports acknowledged the participation of all the sports persons.
