3rd Season Of International Salsa Festival Concludes With Grand Showcase

International Salsa Festival 2015 organised by Club Salsa International, which is a sister concern of Urban School of Dance, Chandigarh, concluded with a Grand showcase by dancers in Zirakpur's Hotel Best Western Almeida Premier.

Zirakpur, September 27, 2015: Artistes from countries like UK, Italy and from across the length & breadth of India, participated in the 3rd Season of International Salsa Festival(ISF) organized by Club Salsa International, an off shoot of Urban School of Dance , Sec 8, Chandigarh. The festival was held at Hotel Best Western Almeida Premier in Zirakpur.
 
The Dance Fiesta concluded with a Grand Finale of 16 different presentations by as many as 60 couples. 8 dance forms including Salsa were showcased. “The festival saw enthusiastic dancers coming to learn finer nuances of Salsa, Bachata, Bollywood, Kizomba, Contemporary, Belly dance etc from experts who had come down to Chandigarh from abroad and many parts of India. The Grand Showcase was the platform provided to them for showing the skills they learnt from masters in the field, for over two days.” Said Varun from Urban School of Dance.
 
The Festival started on 25th and on 26th & 27th workshops were held by top names in the Industry. “Natalie Watterson who is based in London with a group called ‘Bachata Spice’ held workshops. Another very talented instructor who participated in the festival was Kaytee form Italy. He is an expert in Kizomba and is popularizing the same in India.” Added Mr. Ankush Sharma, Co Organiser of the event.  Well known Salsa Experts, Choreographers and Instructors took part in the Salsa Extravaganza. Prominent among these were Elvis Mascarehnas from Mumbai, Deepthi Shetty from Bengaluru,Yavit Singh from Delhi & Ameya Hemmady from Mumbai.
 
“There were some very interesting dance forms like Lyrical Jazz, Afro Cuban and even Kathak which made the fiestival unique.” Said Anchit from Urban School of Dance.
It certainly was three days of enjoyment at the International Salsa Festival. There was a lot of dancing action and the participants also partied to the hilt. The Festival saw a fun filled Pool Party too as part of the Salsa Celebration.
