3rd Season of Techfest “ATHENA - 2020”

Ludhiana: The Department of Computer Science of PCTE Group of Institutes organized the 3rd season of “Athena- 2020”, a daylong extravaganza that witnessed more than 230 students participating from 20 different colleges. 

Colleges like GNA University, GNE College, Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, S.C.D Government College , CT University, Kamla Lotiya Sanatan Dharam College, GNIMT, Arya College, Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology etc. participated in 9 different events like  Code - a - Thon – Debugging,  Brain Grilling- Technical Quiz, Dazibao - Digital Poster,  Geek Nation – Pub G,  Abhikalpna - Web Page Design,  Startup Ideas Competition, Computer Chess, Short Film Making and Word Chaos.
 
Ms. Harpreet Kang, Dean, International Affairs, PCTE Group of Institutes inaugurated the event. After the inauguration ceremony, the competition of the events among different colleges started with full zeal and enthusiasm, where each team gave its level best to win in the events.

In Code - a - Thon – Debugging, the first position was bagged by GNE College. In Brain Grilling- Technical Quiz, the first position was bagged GNE. In Dazibao - Digital Poster, the first position was bagged by GNE College. In Geek Nation – Pub G, the first position was bagged by Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology. In Abhikalpna - Web Page Design, the first position was bagged by MAAC Institute. In Startup Ideas Competition, the consolation prize was bagged by Arya College. And in Computer Chess, Short Film Making and Word Chaos the first position was bagged by GNE College, MAAC Institute & GNE College    

The Overall fest was looked after by students of computer science department under the guidance of IT faculty. Mr. Kapil Prashar, Dean Academics congratulated and appreciated the efforts made by the students. He further added that the entire fest was well organized and coordinated.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the entire team of the Computer Science Department for successfully organizing the TechFest. He further added that opportunities like these bring students from various colleges together, in a professional environment where they learn to work and grow together even while competing against each other.
