--866 COMPANIES TO CONDUCT INTERVIEWS FOR MORE THAN 76000 JOBS
--MEGA JOB FAIR TO BE HELD AT THREE DIFFERENT VENUES SIMULTANEOUSLY: DEPUTY COMMISSIONER
Ludhiana, November 18, 2018: Under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana of the Punjab government, a four-day long Mega Job Fair would be organized in Ludhiana from tomorrow onwards, i.e November 19-22, 2018. In this Mega Job Fair, 866 different companies would carry interviews of youth for providing 76,166 jobs of different kinds.
While providing information, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Pardeep Kumar Agrawal informed that this Mega Job Fair would be organized simultaneously at three different venues namely Government ITI (Boys), Ludhiana, Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology in Rishi Nagar, here and at Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic on Gill Road, here.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that at Government ITI (Boys), Ludhiana and Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic on Gill Road, here, the hiring companies would be looking for youth mainly with engineering or ITI background, whereas at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology in Rishi Nagar, mainly textile, knitting, hosiery etc companies would be hiring. He said that if any youth from engineering background wants to apply for a job in textile, knitting, hosiery etc sector, he/she can visit the job fair at Government Institute of Textile Chemistry and Knitting Technology in Rishi Nagar.
He further appealed to the youth to attend this Mega Job Fair in large numbers as most of the companies attending this Mega Job Fair are of an international level and the youth would get good packages. He said that although such Job Fairs are being organized by the state government in different parts of Punjab, the youth would have more job opportunities in Ludhiana as local industries require more than 65,000 youth for various jobs.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the youth to take full advantage of this job fair, that would be held on four days, i.e. from November 19-22, 2018 at three different venues in the city. He further said that more than 35000 jobless youth have got registered themselves on Punjab govt’s web portal www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in for Ludhiana district.
