4-Day placement workshop begins at DAV College

Jalandhar, February 13, 2019: Four Day Placement Workshop on "Special English and Confidence Building " by DAV College, Jalandhar by Training and Placement Cell has begun. The purpose of this placement training workshop is to prepare students for future placement drives. This placement training workshop was inaugurated by Principal Dr.S.K.Arora, Vice Principal. V.K.Sareen, Vice Principal Arun Mehra, Registrar Prof.Ajay Agarwal, Dean Research Dr.Nishchyan Behl and Dean Training and Placement Cell Prof Manav Aggarwal. This workshop will last up to 4 days in which students will be prepared for future recruitments and placement initiatives conducted by various companies. In this 4-day workshop, there will be discussions about speaking skills, Spoken English, group discussions, increasing confidence level etc. Principal Dr. S. K. Arora said the level of education in DAV College has always been high. The responsibility of a college is to provide higher education to their students so that they can go into a successful business. But it is also the responsibility of a teaching institution to prepare their students for the successful business. Practical knowledge is also important as well as book knowledge. The purpose of organizing this 4-day placement workshop is to equip you all to prepare for the future attributes. He also gave best wishes to students for their bright future. The speaker of this workshop will be Mr. Rahul Sharma, who will give the students information about increasing their confidence level and learning new skills in english language . He said that during interviews students usually look nervous due to lack of confidence in them. This gives a bad impression to the interviewer . Sometimes due to lack of self confidence we do net get chances which we deserve. And to increase self confidence in ourselves we need to stay away from all the negativity around us. We have to make our strong sides more stronger . Extempore , debate can be helpful in this . He emphasised on language that everyone must be known of their own language, but due to the fact that english is an international language , it's knowledge is very important . English seems difficult to students, but learning any language is not a big task we just have to practice for that. For learning English, we need to communicate in english with everyone and listen more to english. Other than this, you can also take help through movies, songs, speech etc. But at this time you do not have to understand all the sentences you just have to concentrate on how to speak English. Dean Training and Placement Cell Prof Manav Agarwal expressed gratitude towards Mr. Rahul Sharma for giving his valuable time to the students. He said that Shri Rahul gave information to the students about etiquette , speaking skills and group discussion which would be very beneficial for them in the future. In this 4 day workshop students will learn a lot and I hope that after these 4 days, students will find so much confidence within themselves that you they will prove to be successful in any job interview.
