40 THOUSAND candidates appear in JET Mock Test

Chandigarh, February 27, 2013: Record 40,000 students have appeared in first ever mock test conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training to mentally prepare the students for actual mock test to be held on April 7, 2013.

Disclosing this here today Secretary of the Board said that the test was conducted throughout the state in two sessions in all the affiliated polytechnic colleges of the Board. 

He further said that due to the efforts of the Punjab Government to encourage the technical study in the state, more than 40,000 candidates appeared in the Mock JET test, indicated a positive trend of the students who are likely to pursue Technical Education at the diploma level. He said that the mock test was conducted free of cost for candidates, aiming to provide them a firsthand experience about the pattern of the test and how to conduct it. 

He said that the main test for JET would be held on April 7, 2013. Keeping in view the facility for students seeking JET admission forms, provision has also been made for the online submission of the JET forms in addition to availability of forms in DEO offices, Suvidha Centres and affiliated polytechnic colleges.
