5-Day Capacity Building Programme on theme "Skill Development Course for Office Professionals" concludes
The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh successfully concluded a five-day Capacity Building Programmeon the theme "Skill Development Course for Office Professionals," from February 19 to February 23.
Chandigarh, February 23, 2024: The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh successfully concluded a five-day Capacity Building Programmeon the theme "Skill Development Course for Office Professionals," from February 19 to February 23.
The course aimed at enhancing the skills of non-teaching employees. 29 Clerks from different Departments of the University participated in the programme. Resource persons from academia and government sector interacted with the participants and imparted skills in various fields related to their work.
The inauguration of the programme was graced by Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar of Panjab University, Chandigarh, who emphasized the significance of continuous skill development in today's dynamic work environment.
During the comprehensive programme, participants delved into a wide array of topics crucial to office management and professionalism. Sessions covered areas such as the evolving roles of office professionals, planning and controlling office work, effective communication techniques, office procedures, records management, and computer skills for office management, among others.
As a part of the programme, a quiz was organized. Sukhwinder Kaur, Gita and Ankit won prizes in the quiz.
Dr. Bharati Garg, Chairperson of the Department and Associate Director of the Programme shared the feedback during the valedictory session and enthused the participants in their respective place of work. Certificates were awarded to those participants who completed the programme.
