5 FIRMS fined under Food Safety and Standard Act 2006

Fazilka, July 27, 2013: On finding the failure of five samples taken from different places in the city, ADC-cum-Food Safety Officer, Charandev Singh Maan fined the five firms under Food Safety and Standard Act 2006.

Giving this information, Kamaljit Singh, Food and Safety Inspector said, out of the samples taken from the city from different places in Fazilka district, five samples have failed and they were fined under the FSS Act 2006. Among those fined are Dalip Dairy Abohar and Golden Dragon Restaurant, Jalalabad and Vinod Kumar of village Bhagu for Rs.5,000 each, Tarntarni Dhaba, Abohar and Ravinder Dairy, Fazilka Rs.4,000 each.

Apart from this, samples of mid-day meal served in Rampura and Ban Wala Hanwanta Govt. Primary Schools and Istri Shakti Jalalabad, the mid-day meal supplier of curry, rice and chappatis.  Despite calling to Food Inspector over mobile, he did not pick up the phone and the latest status of samples of mid-day meal could not be ascertained.
