50 illicit liquor bottles seized from bike-borne

Ludhiana, March 20, 2024: On the directions of District Election Officer Sakshi Sawhney, the excise department has further intensified its drive against illicit liquor in the Ludhiana.
On Tuesday late night, the excise inspectors Harshpinder Singh and Balkaran Singh along with police laid a naka on Janetpura road. During the checking, the team seized 50 bottles of illicit liquor from a bike.
The cops arrested the Gurmail Singh of Sherewala, Sidhwan Bet on the spot.
A case under Sections 61-1-14 and 78(2) of Punjab Excise Act, 1914 against him at Sidhwan Bet Police Station.
