Ludhiana, April 16, 2025: In a major public health initiative, a free medical camp was successfully organized at the Urban Community Health Center (UCHC), Civil Surgeon Complex, Ludhiana, under the leadership of MLA Ludhiana North Shri Madan Lal Bagga Ji, in collaboration with the Punjab Health Department. The camp saw 587 patients examined and treated across various specialties, reaffirming the government’s commitment to grassroots healthcare.

Notably, the UCHC Ludhiana was inaugurated just four months ago by Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and MLA Madan Lal Bagga Ji, and officially handed over to the public with the aim of making advanced medical services easily accessible to residents of Ludhiana North. Since its launch, the facility has rapidly grown into a crucial health hub for the area.

Today's camp offered free consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines in Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, General Surgery, and Dentistry, with support from a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including MLA Ludhiana North Shri Madan Lal Bagga Ji, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain (IAS), Mayor Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Senior Deputy Mayor Shri Rakesh Prasher, SDM West Dr. Poonampreet Kaur, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, and Advocate Shri Gaurav Bagga Khurana. Also present were numerous Municipal Councillors from Ludhiana North Constituency, whose active involvement boosted the outreach and impact of the camp. Among them were Shri Aman Bagga Khurana, Manjit Singh Dhillon, Bittu bhanot,Surinder Atwal, Ashok Kumar, Tejinder Singh Raja, Manisha Kapoor, Neeraj Ahuja, Gurveer Bajwa, Harjinder Singh Bali, Bobby Sharma, Narinder Makkar, Narinder bittu and Dashmesh Singh.

Addressing the occasion, MLA Shri Madan Lal Bagga Ji said, "It is our mission to bring healthcare closer to the people. The UCHC was inaugurated just four months ago to serve Ludhiana North, and today’s camp reflects how this vision is turning into reality. I thank all councillors, medical staff, and residents for their wholehearted support. This is just the beginning—we will continue to hold such camps regularly to ensure no one is left behind."

Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain (IAS) added, "The success of such initiatives depends on community trust and administrative will. Ludhiana North has set a great example of both."

Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramandeep Kaur emphasized the educational component of the camp: "Besides providing treatment, we also focused on educating the community about prevention, hygiene, and healthy practices."
