Chandigarh, December 21, 2024: During the 5th Global Alumni meet on Saturday, several Alumni from the Golden and silver batches as well as many others visited the Department of English and Cultural Studies.
Prof. Deepti Gupta, Prof.Akshaya Kumar and Dr. Surbhi Goel welcomed all the alumni. Dr. Sudhir Mehra was also present during this lively and animated interaction with these accomplished and highly successful Alumni, who richly credited the Department and the University for shaping their human values, perspectives, confidence and skills, which took them places all around the world.
Harish Chandra Sharma (retired SP from CBI), (Batch 1981-83); Vanit Sethi (retired from The Times of India), (Batch 1982-84); Arvind Gupta (Batch 1978-80); Chandra Gupta (Retired from State Bank of India), (Batch 1978-80); Prof. Amrita Sharma from BPS University, Sonepat, (Batch 1997-1999); and Rajpreet Chahal (Batch 1997-1999) regaled with their memories. Anil Gulati, an alumnus from the Economics department, visited the Department of English and Cultural Studies to recall his participation in the literary activities and other students' activities within the department. The Alumni remembered their former teachers and shared several incidents, which are firmly imprinted in their minds and memories. They offered their time, expertise and wisdom to the department, in future as well.
