60 Farmers get training in organic cultivation
Aiming at promoting crop diversification and chemical-free produce, agricultural experts dwelt upon organic farming, organic cultivation of maize and basmati, cultivation of kharif pulses and organic nutrient management in kharif crops at the monthly training camp of Organic Farmer’s Club, organised at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today. As many as 60 organic growers attended the camp held under the guidance of Dr GS Buttar, Director of Extension Education.
Ludhiana, June 13, 2023: Aiming at promoting crop diversification and chemical-free produce, agricultural experts dwelt upon organic farming, organic cultivation of maize and basmati, cultivation of kharif pulses and organic nutrient management in kharif crops at the monthly training camp of Organic Farmer’s Club, organised at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today. As many as 60 organic growers attended the camp held under the guidance of Dr GS Buttar, Director of Extension Education.
The resource persons included Dr CS Aulakh, Dr Amandeep Singh Sidhu, Dr Harpreet Kaur Virk and Dr Neeraj Rani.
Besides, Gurmukh Singh shared experience on cultivation of millets.
Dr Kuldeep Singh, Programme Associate Director, welcomed the farmers and the resource persons, whereas Mr Amrit Singh Chahal, President, Organic Farmers’ Club, proposed a vote of thanks.
