64th Railway Week Function organised at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala
Kapurthala, April 12, 2019: Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala celebrated the 64th Railway Week Award Function-2019 with zeal and fervor here at RCF. Satya Prakash Trivedi, General Manager / RCF was the Chief Guest and gave away mementos, merit certificates and cash awards to 46 Employees/Officer for their outstanding performance during the year 2018-19. He also presented Running Safety Shield to Plant Group selected for maintaining high standard of safety. Speaking on the occasion, Trivedi said that Railway Week is celebrated every year to encourage and felicitate employees for their outstanding performance during the year. He congratulated the award winners for putting in their best performance and hoped that they would rededicate themselves to produce better results in the future. It was due to the untiring efforts and dedication of the RCF employees that today Indian Railways has made remarkable progress in achieving important goals and targets. Trivedi enumerated the achievements of RCF and said that this year, the production of coaches was 1350, about 100 more than produced last year. 03 rakes of Tejas coaches and 05 rakes of Humsafar with improved features were rolled out from RCF during 2018-19. Sh S P Trivedi said that RCF also manufactured Antyodaya and Deen Dayalu coaches. Perhaps, the biggest achievement was the manufacturing of coaches for Buddhist Circuit Train and UDAY (Uttkrisht Double-Decker Air-Conditioned Yatri Express) which received immense media coverage. RCF also produced a significant number of MEMU coaches and the production of MEMU with 3 Phase Electrics is underway of which RCF is to produce 31 rakes this year. Trivedi called for dedicated and tireless efforts of RCF employees to work for manufacturing of coaches for increasing the satisfaction quotient of the passengers. On the occasion, Dr. Jyoti Trivedi President RCF Women Welfare Organisation, Members of RCFWWO, All Principal HODs and HODs, Officers, Awardees and their Family members, Office Bearers of Unions and Associations etc were present. The function concluded with a colourful cultural programme.
