68 undertrials of petty offences released during Mega Camp Court organised by District Legal Services Authority
Hon'ble Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Administrative Judge, Sessions Division, Ludhiana attended the camp
Ludhiana, April 2, 2022: Today, the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Administrative Judge, Sessions Division, Ludhiana visited District Courts Complex, Ludhiana. He inaugurated an ATM machine of State Bank of India installed in the building of District Courts Complex, Ludhiana. He said that the ATM machine will be of great convenience to the advocates and general public visiting the courts daily.
As per the able instructions of the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Administrative Judge, Sessions Division, Ludhiana and the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Tejinder Singh Dhinda, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. Nagar and under guidance of Sh. Munish Singal, Ld. District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana, District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana organized a Mega Camp Court under the supervision of Sh. P.S. Kaleka, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana. In the said Mega Camp Court, the matter of under trails in custody in petty offences who intends to make confession of their guilt are taken. In august presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court-cum-Administrative Judge, Sessions Division, Ludhiana total 68 under trials confess their guilt and judgments were passed at the spot. All the said under trials ensured that they will not commit any crime in future. He said that Mega Camp Court is a great initiative by the District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana under Chairmanship of Sh. Munish Singal, District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana which will help first offenders in petty cases to improve them self and be asset to the society then to become a hardened criminal.
