6th Governing body meeting held 

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organized the sixth Governing Body Meeting to ensure excellence in education. The meeting was chaired by Shri Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal and was graced by acclaimed luminaries namely Sh. Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee Dr. Sushma Chopra, Secretary, KMV Managing Committee Sh. Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee, Sh. Suresh Seth, Member, KMV Managing Committee, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Prof. Dr. Suman Sharma, Principal,  Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi as University Nominee, Prof. Dr. Geeta Hundal, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar as University Grants Commission, New Delhi nominee, Ms. Simranjit Kaur, Deputy Director DPI, Chandigarh and other internal  members of Governing Body. 

The meeting commenced with dynamic presentation by Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi about the progress and innovations made by KMV under different criteria like Curriculum development, Teaching learning and evaluation, Research consultancy and extension, Value added development programs for students in each semester, Special initiatives to develop entrepreneurial skills in students, Social outreach and environment initiatives, Student support and international endeavours. She apprised the erudite academicians that new policies have been framed to deal with new courses, examination and research in order to acquire excellence. Governing body members deeply appreciated the college in implementing the reforms under new education policy. They specially commented that KMV is miles ahead in progressive education and has successfully kept its strength as a blend of modernity and tradition. External members also lauded the innovation, skill development policy and international exchange programmes adopted by KMV and commented that KMV is being referred to as a role model by other institutions. The external members were very much appreciative of Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KMV for ceaselessly endeavoring to elevate the standard of higher education by introducing academic and educational reforms under autonomy. KMV has indeed entered into the league of top colleges of India by designing new courses and also upgrading all syllabi to meet international professional standards and to provide skill oriented education. 

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that this meeting will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of education and research in KMV. The house appreciated all the reforms carried out under autonomous system especially the usage of digital technology implemented by KMV for teaching & learning in the days of lockdown.
