7-day NSS Camp concludes at Apeejay College of Fine Arts

Jalandhar, June 2, 2019: The final day of 7-day NSS Camp was celebrated at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. Throughout the week, various workshops as Healthy and Nutritious Cooking, Physical Fitness, Aerobics, Yoga session, Sculpture workshop were conducted for NSS Volunteers. During the camp they had also visited the village Salarpur, which Apeejay has adopted and regularly takes care of, where they told the residents about the importance of cleanliness and the bad affects of drugs. The students had also interacted and conducted various fun learning workshops for the school kids in village.
The final day of camp begun with the prayer followed by showing the highlights of the camp through PowerPoint presentation by Kareena of B.Com Sem 2. Next was Alisha of B.Com Sem 6 who shared her experience of the camp where she emphasized that she indeed felt fortunate to be the part of NSS Wing of the college as it has made her more socially aware and responsible citizen. The NSS Volunteers didn't lag behind to entertain the audience through their musical mashups and solo performances. Haripriya, Himanshu, Karman & group, Rashim mesmerized everyone with their musical performances. Chetanya did a contemporary dance performance on western songs and awed the audience. Choreography was also done by students based on the theme BRAIN DRAIN and ANTI DRUGS. The students were rewarded with various titles, certificates and gifts according to their performances in the camp. Everyone received the participation certificate of attending the camp.
Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma expressed her ecstasy on the successful completion of NSS Camp. She was joyful on seeing the enthusiastic and energetic presence of students in the camp who were not only learning in the camp but also enjoying to the core of it. She also told the students that main motif of such camps is to make youngsters realize their responsibility towards the society and ultimately become a good citizen.
