7 Days Yoga Camp culminated at Panjab University
To mark the celebrations of 10thInternational Yoga Day, Directorate of Sports in collaboration with Dean Students Welfare Office organized 7 days Yoga Camp on the theme “Yoga for Self and Society” from June 15-21 at the Gymnasium Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, June 21, 2024: To mark the celebrations of 10thInternational Yoga Day, Directorate of Sports in collaboration with Dean Students Welfare Office organized 7 days Yoga Camp on the theme “Yoga for Self and Society” from June 15-21 at the Gymnasium Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Prof. RenuVig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University inaugurated the culmination ceremony of the yoga camp on 21st June, 2024.
Prof. Rumina Sethi, Dean University Instructions, Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of examination, Prof. Amit Chauhan (DSW),Prof. Simrit Kahlon, DSW (W), Prof. Naresh Kumar (ADSW)and Dr. Rakesh Malik, Deputy Director, Phy. Edu.& Sports and fellows joined the event.
Faculty, Non-teaching and administrative staff, wardens and students participated and performed Yoga Aasnas from 6am to 7am during the 7 days’ yoga camp under the guidance of Yoga Guru Acharya Raman ji.
Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University appreciated the efforts of the organizers and said that the yoga camp would surely help the participants for boosting their physical and mental health.
In his welcome address Prof. Amit Chauhan highlighted that the main objective of the yoga camp was to incorporate yoga into our daily lives for rejuvenating our body and mind.
During the event, live streaming of Prime minister Narendra Modi’s address from Srinagar was also carried out.
More than 100 participants joined the culmination ceremony.
