7 students of Vivekananda World School selected to play at International Level

Ferozepur, June 11, 2019: 7 students of Vivekananda World School selected to play at International Level after bagging place at First National Archery and CRB - Cross Bow Championship – 2019.
Yet another feather has been added in the cap of school’s achievements and sports accolades in the second year. Shooting stars from Vivekananda World School did the institution feel proud again by bagging medals in First National Archery and CRB - Cross Bow Championship – 2019 held 2019 at Aryan Group of Colleges ( Rajpura ). A total of 300 shooters participated in the event from various states.
VWS team of 7 comprising Gursharan Singh, Parth wadhwa , Ashir Sagar Bhaskar, Paramjot Singh, Navdeep Singh, Gurnoor Handa, Shivang has been selected for participation in the International level shooting championship to be held in Indonesia. On this occasion Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur, Chander Gaind, IAS, congratulated the winners and lauded their effort. Sunil Sharma District Sports Officer, showered praised on the students on their achievement.
Dr. S.N. Rudra , Director , Vivekananda World School, apprised that Gurnoor Handa bagged the Bronze medal while Silver Medal was bagged in team event comprising Gursharan Singh, Parth wadhwa , Ashir Sagar Bhaskar, Paramjot Singh, Navdeep Singh, Gurnoor Handa, Shivang. A programme was organized and the children and their parents were felicitated by the School management That included Mrs. Prabha Bhaskar (Patron-in—chief ), Mr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar ( Chairman ), Mrs. Dolly Bhaskar ( secretary Finance ),Mr. Paramveer Sharma ( Administrator Academics ) , Mr. Vipan Kumar Sharma ( Coordinator Activity ) .Speaking on the occasion , Mrs. Purva Wadhwa, jubilant mother of Parth , Mr. Sukhwinder Singh (father of Gursharan Singh ) and Ms. Aman Handa (mother of Gurnoor Handa ) all heaped praise on school staff, management who are helping students reach greater heights ins short span of time. Chairman of school, Mr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar said that Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges & sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead and he heaped special praise on shooting coach Darshan Singh Sidhu who himself bagged medal in Punjab Team event .
Dr. S. N. Rudra said the team under guidance of Mr. Paramveer Sharma , (Administrator Academics) , and Mr. Vipan Kumar Sharma, (Incharge Activity & Day Boarding) has been scaling new heights in area of sports and academics too and thanked them for their outstanding achievements in the shaping up this school with their rich experience in the field of education.
